Adjusting MP3 default volume and rearranging the music

By Wobbler

A quick update on some freeware tools I’ve been using with great satisfaction.

If you’ve ever been annoyed by MP3 files that come with different default volumes, screwing up your listening pleasure, and/or you’ve always wanted to divide a specific mp3 file because it’s either a mega mix kind of thing, an album or some other type that you just want to slice and dice, please consider the following tools:

MP3Gain analyzes and adjusts mp3 files so that they have the same volume.

Mp3Splt-project is a utility to split mp3 and ogg files selecting a begin and an end time position, without decoding.

Trust me when I say that these are great tools, work fast and generally just get the job done!

I was using something else to split the files, I believe another program called mp3 ripper, but mp3 split just does it so much faster and more accurately. Thanks open source community!
